COMPOSER PROFILE
Yudhi Rus Harjanto
For years, Yudhi has been known as a member and guitarist of the Jogja-based band Seventeen. He was an active member from the beginning and shaped Seventeen's musical color from the songs he wrote and played.
Joining Seventeen was the beginning of the musical career of the man who is familiarly called Joddie Rose. Formed in the city of Gudeg, Yogyakarta, Seventeen pursued a career from the bottom by playing from cafe to cafe around Yogyakarta. Having experienced personnel changes, Seventeen was still able to survive until they were contracted by the Universal Music Indonesia label in 2003 and gave birth to their first album Bintang Terpilih.
Being under a major label, Seventeen achieved success, their debut album had reached CD sales of 75 thousand copies. Their songs were often used for soap opera soundtracks, such as "Jibaku" which was popular in the soap opera Inikah Rasanya.
With Seventeen, Joddie served as the writer of most of the hit songs in the five albums released from 2003 to 2013 before he finally left the band.
Although no longer with Seventeen, former Seventeen member Yudhi, Doni formed the duo YudhiDoni Project, a music project that re-popularizes Seventeen songs.
